Gut Healthy Ginger Cider Mocktail Paleo



This non-alcoholic, paleo-friendly Gut Healthy Ginger Cider Mocktail is ideal for promoting gut health. It's a flavorful and calming option because of the fresh ginger and warming spices.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened apple cider
  • 1/2 cup filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

In a small saucepan, combine apple cider and water

Add fresh grated ginger and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over low heat

Stir in raw honey if using, ground cinnamon, ground turmeric, ground cardamom, and ground cloves

Simmer for 5-7 minutes to infuse the flavors, stirring occasionally

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly

Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove ginger bits

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the ginger cider mixture over the ice

Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves
